CT Senior Centers

CASCP - Strengthening Senior Centers in Connecticut!

As multi-purpose agencies, Senior Centers are part of a broad network of information and service.  We work with National and State of Connecticut Departments and other agencies.  Links to some of these are listed below.

Department of Social Services, Aging Services Division

The Liaison to Senior Centers within the Department is Cheryl Jackson.  You can contact her by email at Cheryl.Jackson@ct.gov or by telephone at (860) 424-5640.

Connecticut Commission on Aging

The Commission on Aging is a non-partisan agency of the Connecticut General Assembly.  They are devoted to preparing our state for the burgeoning aging populations while promoting policies that enhance the lives of the present and future generations of older adults.

Administration on Aging

The mission of AoA is to develop a comprehensive, coordinated and cost-effective system of home and community-based services that helps elderly individuals maintain their health and independence in their homes and communities.

Connecticut's Area Agencies on Aging

The five Area Agencies on Aging (AAAs) in CT are private, not-for-profit corporations established in CT in 1974 to provide leadership and resources to meet the needs of the rapidly growing elderly population.  The CT Association of Area Agencies on Aging (C4A) is a professional affiliation comprised of all five AAAs.
